[Free Crochet Pattern] Luffy's Straw Hat Keychain

Hi everyone! Today I bring the first free pattern from Fios de Poesia in English version! It's the same keychain that I posted here a few months ago, but with the instructions translated into English. English is not my first language so I ask for understanding. If anything is hard to undestand, feel free to leave a comment, I try to answer your question as best I can.

Abbreviation:

Magic Ring (MR)

Single crochet (sc)

Increase (inc)

Back loop only (BLO)

Stitchs between * - * must be repeat by the number of times indicated after the *. For example: *1sc. 1inc* x5. Repeat 5 times the sequence of a single crochet and an increase.

Materials:

• 3.00mm crochet hook
• Yellow Yarn
• Red Yarn
• Ring for keychain

Note: I will not indicate yarn brands because I am from a non-English speaking country, which makes the brands unavailable to most readers who will be using this pattern. Feel free to use whichever is most convenient for you. 

Straw Hat Keychain step by step 

With the yellow yarn:

1. 6sc in MR (6)

2. inc at each stitch until the end (12)

3. *1sc, 1 inc* until the end (18) 

4-6. 1sc at each stitch until the end (18)

Change to red:

7-8. 1sc at each stitch until the end (18)

Change to Yellow:

9. (BLO) 1sc, 1 inc, [*2sc, 1inc*x5], 1sc (24)

10. *3sc, 1 inc* until the end (30)

11. 2sc, 1inc [*4sc, 1inc*]x5, 2sc (36)

Fasten off. 

Attach the keyring at any stitch on row 11. If you only have the hoop, without the chain (like mine, in the photo) tie a thread to the stitch loop, with the knot inside the hat and attach the hoop to it. See photo bellow for better explanation.
